You love it so much, we are giving you more! 95Q Country Idol returns January 20, 2010 at the AIW Hall in Decatur presented by Miller Lite. If you can carry a tune, or at least think you can, you've got to try out!
All contestants must be at least 21 years old and must sing a country song. Contestants can register between 6-7 PM each Wednesday: January 20, January 27, February 3, and February 10. There is no limit on how many contestants can participate but no contestants will be accepted after 7 PM. Each contestant will sing one song, unless there are 15 or less contestants, then each will sing two songs. Each week three judges will choose our 3 finalists that will advance to the finals on February 17. All judges decisions are final and are not available for review. Country Idol 2010 Rules and Regulations
1. All contestants must be at least 21 years of age to participate.
2. All contestants must sing a country song. If a song’s genre is in question, a judgment call will be made by 95Q staff.
3. Only solo performers may enter the contest(s).
4. 1st Place winners are ineligible to participate in Country Idol Contest the following year.
5. Contestants are judged and scored by the following criteria, each on a scale between 1 – 10 (Maximum total score of 40):
a. VOCAL ABILITY (quality, range, pitch)
b. STAGE PRESENCE (body language, style, form)
c. AUDIENCE RESPONSE
d. OVERALL PERFORMANCE
6. In the case of a TIE, the higher of the two contestant’s scores for Vocal Ability will determine the winner.
7. Score sheets for competitions/FINALS WILL NOT be available for viewing AT ANY TIME.
8. Any equipment failure IS NOT the responsibility of Promotion Sponsors/Presenters/Coordinators/Executors.
a. If there is equipment failure, contestant will exit stage, and be given a chance to retry their song selection later in the contest.
9. Failure to comply with any part of these Rules and Regulations may result in disqualification.

As a 95Q Country Idol Contestant I agree to allow my photos, name, and or voice to be used and published in anyway Presenter and or Sponsor see(s) fit, such as Radio Play, TV Coverage, and Internet use. In consideration of the foregoing and for valuable consideration, I hereby forever release and discharge Neuhoff Media and their officers, directors and employees and all Clients involved in the giveaway (see attached client list) from any claim, liability, loss or damage caused by, or arising out of my participation in the aforementioned contest, or related to the prize itself and/or my guests.
